چکیده

This article reviews the work to date on CALOrimeter with Radial thermal transfers for nuclear REactors (CALORRE) differential calorimeter patented by Aix-Marseille University (AMU) and French Alternative Energies Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) in 2015. The presents results obtained first prototype of CALORRE qualified under real conditions during an irradiation campaign MARIA reactor 2015, including previously unpublished details. Then, studies different calorimetric cells characterized experiments laboratory are described. Several configurations were studied determine influence cell height, horizontal fin geometry, structural material composition response. These calculations provide a calibration protocol generating heat source inside each cell, evaluation linearity, sensitivity, range, reproducibility, response time, absolute temperatures. Finally, within framework new research program called Compact-CALORimeter Irradiations MIT (CALOR-I) financed AMU Foundation (A*Midex), design optimization assembly was carried out order remove contact resistances very compact suited in-core water loop Massachusetts Institute Technology (MIT) (2 $\text{W}\cdot \text{g}^{-1}$ peak heating rate). this is estimated using 3-D numerical simulations conditions.

Predation in two species of leech under laboratory conditions

Two 60 day experiments on predation behavior of leeches were conducted concurrently. In the first, medicinal leeches, Hirudo orientalis (Utevsky and Trontelj, 2005) were fed to satiation on bovine blood and subsequently transferred into two large opaque plastic containers of equal size but with differing temperatures, 6-7?C and 23-24?C, containing starved Erpobdella octoculata (L.). At the high...

Growth of Corophium volutator under laboratory conditions.

Temperature-dependent growth is an important factor in the population model of Corophium volutator that was developed to translate responses in a 10-day acute bioassay to ecological consequences for the population. The growth rate, however, was estimated from old data, based on a Swedish population. Therefore, new growth rates are estimated herein from two experiments using Corophium volutator....

Measurements of Lead Tungstate crystals behaviour under irradiation for the CMS electromagnetic calorimeter at the LHC

Lead Tungstate crystals will be used as calorimetric medium in high energy physics at CERN, in a particularly hostile radiation environment. Methods of testing their behaviour under irradiation are discussed here and are illustrated by some R&D results. Presented at 5th European Conference on Radiation and its Effects on Components and Systems, (Fontevraud, France, September 1999) For the CMS C...
